Registration for either class enables you to pick up materials and enters the competition.
The guidelines:
Both classes will have the opportunity to pick up free kite-making materials. Students may enter the competition without attending either class.
There is no fee for the class or the materials.
The goal is increased knowledge of Aerodynamics, creativity in 3-demenional work, and an increased joy of learning.
The high-flying competition is set for Saturday March 26, 2022, at Luther Britt Park from 10:00 – 12:00. Participation in the competition is limited to students in grades 6-12 and the kites must be made with the materials provided by the partnership of the Lumberton Kiwanis and the Robeson Art Guild. Entries will be judged upon design and success of flight and Public’s Favorite. Prizes are:
