Join us at 5:30 pm on Thursday, October 9th, for the dedication of the new Pottery Kiln Room. We are proud to dedicate the new facility to Jim Tripp, Master Potter for the Robeson Art Guild. Such a great way to round out the evening after BBQ in the afternoon and before heading off to enjoy the Art Stroll!
Many of you know Jim from his years at RCC as a respected Pottery Instructor or from his tenure as pharmacist with Southeastern Hospital. We are truly honored by his years of dedicated community service in Robeson County and delighted to see this first step completed to the Pottery Studio at the Art Guild.
The new kiln was fired twice recently under Jim’s watchful eye, with artists Jeffery Geller and Irina Shin-Geller producing some brand new, creative pottery pieces.

Looks like they had fun doing it!

This pottery piece is "Growing Wild," for which Jim won second place in the Fall Into Winter Exhibition currently on display at the Guild House. Don't forget to see tour the new exhibit and vote for your pick as People's Choice!

Art Group: Meets Mondays from 12:30 - 2:30 pm
Stop by to work on a project of your own, talk to other artists, maybe even peek in on a class in session - no charge and no registration required. Take those 2 hours of personal time to just enjoy your art in a comfortable space, ask a question that's got you wondering, or simple enjoy watching someone work on a piece or with supplies you've been curious about. And while you are here, check out the current exhibition and see if there is anything in the Members' Swap/Share Box that's of interest to you. It turns over pretty regularly - we had a surprise the other day when a fall cleanout (People do that? Who knew!?) generated an overflow of supplies, including some neat bits-and-bobs for collage and crafts!

Art Supplies Swap/Share Box
The Swap Box continues to be popular, with members contributing and taking out a range of fun... stuff. From art supplies to try, a nice table easel, books, magazines, whatever who may catch their attention or no longer fit their needs. It's a good way to explore. There is no charge, just remember, if you take something, please bring something in for others - and if you don't need or want what you take, well, just bring it back! The box is in the classroom, next to the art group supplies.
