Members – The Heart of Robeson Art Guild
The RAG Board of Directors wants to share the plans for the Guild and hear from members at the general meeting scheduled for Thursday, February 9th at the Robeson Art Guild. The meeting will start with a social gathering at 6:00 pm. During the social gathering, meet Guild member and author Kammeron Polverari. Polverari will be pleased to sign copies of her debut novel, From the Fires Scattered There. The novel is based on the true story of the Tamiami Champion train wreck that claimed seventy-four lives in the worst train wreck in Robeson County history. Polverari has created a work of historical fiction that honors the survivors and the humanity of the community that came together to help the victims.

The business meeting will start at 6:30 pm, with discussion of Guild plans for the coming year and opportunities for volunteers and sponsors to participate. Give some thought to how you might like to participate! Suggestions are welcome.

More Culinary Arts Treats!
In December, the first of the Culinary Arts treats for members was held. Members enjoyed artistic Hors d’oeuvres prepared by RCC Chef Ingram and his students and watched demonstrations of how to create unique, tasty cookie trees for the holidays. The students prepared enough trees for members to take some home to enjoy.
Continuing the Culinary Arts theme, two more special treats for RAG members are scheduled. On February 21, David Zeitz will create and serve an Italian meal. On March 11, Kemp Harris will demonstrate Smoked Meats cooking and serve a meal. Both of these treats are limited to 30 members. Sign up for the RAG Newsletter and watch for the announcements!
