Reminder! Join Us for the Holiday Members Meeting! Thursday, Dec 18 from 2pm to 4pm!

Hard to believe that we are nearly to Christmas… and the New Year not long after! We will be gathering around the Christmas tree to share mugs of hot chocolate (at least!) and cookies and snacks to celebrate the season! There are two new annual awards this year to be announced, too: Art Community Volunteer of the Year and Art Guild Volunteer of the Year! Join us to remember a year of beautiful art and look forward to 2026, a year full of optimism, ideas, and anniversaries – the 250th of the USA and the 5th for the Art Guild! Mark Anderson will fill the air with Holiday music!
Join us if you can! Besides, you want to know if YOUR favorite exhibit and market table won the People’s Choice Award, don’t you?!

By the way, if you haven’t voted yet (or want to make sure you didn’t miss something worth of another vote!), you’ll have until about 12:30 or 1pm to run by and get make it done! We open at 11 am. Tell your friends!
The Holiday Members Choice Exhibit and the Marketplace close today and there are wonderful things waiting for you – while you’re here, don’t miss the chance to pick up some new ornaments for your Christmas tree, or maybe a handmade Teddy for that new baby and spiring toys for the grandkids!

The Fall Into Winter & Community Scenes Awards!
The Fall Into Winter 2025 Exhibition opened Thursday, September 25th with a great reception, with music by Champ Saint-Amand’s duo and our first Community Potluck. The exhibit is open through November 13, so if you weren’t able to make it to the reception, stop by and take a look for yourself – we need your votes for the People’s Choice Award!
Nineteen local artists entered artwork ranging from lovely paintings to beautiful beadwork, to stunning pottery pieces – with community and the seasons playing a prominent role! Judge Nila Chamberlain had her work cut out selecting the winners, including the special Community Scenes Award and four honorable mentions.
Nila, a true friend of the Robeson Art Guild, not only made very considered selections for her awards, but also provided thoughtful comments on all the entries. We were very fortunate to have her as judge for the Fall Into Winter exhibition! In her own work, Nila creates art works in multiple mediums and uses both representation and abstraction. She continues to experiment with incompatible materials pouring, layering, stamping and combining to create heavily textured shapes and patterns. She works in both two and three dimensions and often creates larger work (4’X3’ and larger). Until you can come by and see the originals, here are her award selections. All of the entries still available for sale will be posted on our auction site soon.

Upcoming Quarterly Meetings
Mark your calendars now and plan to attend the upcoming Quarterly Members Meetings in 2025/2026. These regular meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Thursday of the ending month each quarter: last one for 2025 is December 18, 2025 at the Guild House; and March 19, June 18, September 17, and December 18 in 2026 – for now at least! The Quarterly Members Meetings are a great way to learn what is happening at the Art Guild, what is planned, and to share your ideas!
A special Thank You for the volunteers who help decorate for the holidays – and who help take the decorations down in the New Year!
And a heartfelt and belated Thank you to the hardy volunteers who help with intake and setup for exhibitions, events, and classes! We could not survive without you! Thank you!
Stop By and Visit the Guild House!
Welcome to the Robeson Art Guild. We are a growing group of folks who live with a passion for the Visual Arts and artistic mediums in and around Robeson County in North Carolina, USA.
We are open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 am to 4 pm, for Special Events, and By Appointment, even for your own private gathering! Watch for announcements of special events, exhibitions, classes and community events that occur throughout the year in and around Lumberton, North Carolina and at the Guild House.
