Artists, Hurry, Just Days Left…

Golf Tournament Online Auction

Time’s a-ticking! Please select at least two of your works for the Online Auction and bring them to the Guild House no later than Friday, May 13, so they can be photographed and uploaded to the online album for patrons to study and bid! Don’t forget to include your brief biography and the title, value, and dimensions of each work. Don’t be shy! You don’t want to miss this opportunity to let our community learn about you and your work.

The auction will be online beginning about a week before and conclude on the day of the Golf Tournament, May 21st.  We are working with to ensure that bidders see all auction items clearly, can place their bids online securely, and that the auction concludes smoothly at the Golf Tournament, with the artwork available for pickup.  A link to the online gallery link to share with your friends and patrons will be provided to you so you can get the word out and help make this another successful fundraiser!

Last year, we sold more than 50 pieces with every artist selling and this year we hope to do the same or better.  You should set a minimum price and then let the magic of bidding “wars” drive the process. We look forward to success for our artists and the Guild.  We also look forward to making our patrons very happy.

Jim’s #Giving Tuesday – Thank You!

Jim Tripp set up the #GivingTuesday fundraiser on Facebook to benefit the Robeson Art Guild, META pledged to match up to $8 million – now that’s dreaming big! As Jim said, “every dollar will go back into this organization’s programs. No salaries. Thank you all!”

The numbers are in, and Robeson Art Guild has received $1,225 from the Network for Good! Thank You to all who contributed!

As you can see from this month’s newsletter, the educational program has already begun with classes in Abstract Art, Pottery, and Watercolor. The Metamorphosis 1 Exhibition was well attended (at least until Covid-19!) and the new TIME OUT exhibition is slated for March!
