Awards for Fall Into Winter Exhibition!
Even with Hurrican Helene coming our way, the artists got their entries into the Art Guild and Paul Van Zandt had an excellent array of artwork to consider as he judged the Fall Into Winter Exhibition on Friday, September 20! Unfortunately, we had to cancel the September 26th Opening Reception due to Hurricane Helene – Watch this space for the new date! We plan to announce it soon!
The theme of the Fall Into Winter is the change of seasons, as summer gives way to autumn and winter is hovering, just out of sight, perhaps, but ever more clearly felt in shorter days and cooling nights. This time, the entries include seasonal fabric art and paintings in different mediums. Some are already sold, but there are several lovely paintings and a Southwestern fabric piece available and still for sale! With the Holidays coming, stop by and see if you may have the perfect home for one!

Join Kay Bradsher for a fun afternoon class! Learn to paint more vibrantly, construct more harmonious compositions, use color theory to design and decorate your home! You will experiment with what you learn and create your own one-of-a-kind artwork to take home!
From color theory to psychological effects, Kay wants to bring information to you in an easy-to-follow and interesting way, exploring colors and the emotional impact they bring to art. No matter what capacity you work with color in your daily life, having a working understanding of color theory will always come in handy.

Joan Blackwell is having another Fun Morning painting River Rocks at the Guild House! Such great timing to get started on gifts for friends and family or create unique decorations for your own garden – whatever the reason, spend some quality time with yourself and others creating keepsakes for those you love… or leave them anonymously as random acts of kindness for your neighbors!
When: Saturday, October 26th, from 10 am to 12 pm
Where: Robeson Art Guild, 109 W 9th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358
Cost: $35 per student, all materials included
Level: All levels, Youth 8+ and Adults, Members and Non-Membrs Welcome!

Register Today for Copper-Foil Stained-Glass with Donna Freeman
Join Donna Freeman on September 17th for a very hands-on Copper Foil Stained-Glass workshop. Donna will work with you to create your own stained-glass sun-catcher, selecting one of four lovely designs and adding your own touches thru your choice of colors and detail. All materials and required tools are included. If you already have gloves, glasses, or tools you prefer to use, bring them!
Please dress appropriately. Remember: Glasswork is full of sharp edges!
When: Monday, Nov. 18, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Where: Robeson Art Guild House, 109 W 9th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358
Fee: $75 per student, supplies included
Level: Beginners – Adults and Mature Young Adults

Awards for Summer Living Exhibition
We were so pleased to have Ellen Burke back to judge the Summer Living Exhibition on Wednesday, July 24th! Many of you will remember Ellen from the En Plain Air workshop held in 2023, where she led us so well. Ellen’s career spans 38 years as an art educator, Fine and Performing Arts chair in New York and Massachusetts, and at the Art Institute of New Hampshire. She was ideally suited to review and critique these Summer Living artworks.
The theme of the Summer Living is embracing the playful energy of summer, to explore and enjoy life’s artistic discoveries. The Opening Reception was Thursday, July 25th, featuring music by Mark Andersen and light refreshments sponsored by Marilyn and Larry Pope.

Welcome to the Robeson Art Guild. We are a growing group of folks who live with a passion for the Visual Arts and artistic mediums in and around Robeson County in North Carolina, USA.
We are open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 am to 4 pm, for Special Events, and By Appointment, even for your own private gathering! Watch for announcements of special events, exhibitions, classes and community events that occur throughout the year in and around Lumberton, North Carolina and at the Guild House.
