Artist’s Choice 2025 Prospectus
CALL FOR ENTRIES: The Robeson Art Guild (RAG) is now accepting entries for the Artist’s Choice 2025 Exhibition on Tuesday May 13 and May 15 at RAG (109 W 9th St., Lumberton), from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day. Click here to enter online.
The theme for Artist’s Choice 2025 is creativity, and how each individual artist chooses to express and share their work with us.

In addition to the normal awards and recognition by the public for their favorite, this year there will also be a special prize offered for the best entry honoring National Poppy Day! Celebrated the Friday before Memorial Day, the timing is perfect for our Artist’s Choice Exhibition opening May 22nd.
Works eligible for the new Remembrance Poppy award must feature the red poppy, the internationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I to honor those who served and died for our country in all wars.

Awards for Spring Festival 2025
The Spring Festival 2025 Exhibition opening reception Thursday, March 20th had a St. Patrick’s Day vibe. Champ St. Amand was there to provide the music all evening – and the rain even stopped! There was a steady stream of visitors this time, as many of our members floated between our opening and the Robeson County Arts Council opening, The Feast, exhibiting pottery and photographic pieces. A great evening for the visual arts in Lumberton. Don’t miss out! The Robeson Art Guild Spring Festival 2025 is open through Thursday, May 8.

The theme for Spring Festival was simply that . . . Spring in all its glory, an ode to the promise of sparkling days, flowers blooming, and new life. Carol Gradwohl, a mixed media artist, had her work cut out for her! selected 3 award winners and 3 Honorable Mentions from the 20 pieces accepted for the show.
Carol has been a member of the Artists League of the Sandhills in Aberdeen since 2016. She serves on their Board of Directors and maintains a regular schedule of classes there.
Although she dabbles in watercolor, oil with cold wax, and scratchboard, her main work currently is with acrylics, mixed media, and alcohol ink. Our diverse group of artists were a good match with her interests.
