CALL FOR ENTRIES: The Robeson Art Guild (RAG) is accepting entries for the New Year Celebration 2026 Exhibition online beginning January 8th. Intake will be on Tuesday, January 13th, at the Robeson Art Guild House (109 W 9th St., Lumberton), from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Don’t forget that 2026 marks the 5th Anniversary of the Robeson Art Guild – pretty exciting as it is also the 250th Anniversary of the United States! Time to party!! We’re starting off with the New Year Celebration Exhibition – the New Year Theme it means to you, the artist. Perhaps your inspiration is the opportunity for new beginnings or the imminent arrival of Valentine’s Day, share your vision and enthusiasm with other art lovers. Anything that celebrates the promise of a New Year, being good to ourselves and those we love, and that helps to raise spirits after the long winter is welcome. Last year we ran rather late due to a tough cold snap, but this year we seem to be off to a fairly warm start! Let’s have a good time and enjoy the brighter, lengthening days!
So, Everyone, make plans to stop by, have a look at the artwork on display and for sale, and learn what is in store for the rest of the year.
The Exhibition opens January 22nd with the Opening Reception at the Guild House. Join us at 6:30 pm to celebrate the New Year with other members and supporters of our wonderful local artists.
The New Year Celebration 2026 Exhibition awards will be presented at the Opening Reception on Tuesday, January 13th.

Important Dates:
- Online Entries Open: Tuesday, January 8th. Click here to enter online.
- Submissions Due (Intake): Tuesday, January 13, 2026. Entries are due and received at RAG (109 W 9th St., Lumberton), between 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, or by appointment.
- Opening Reception: Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
- Exhibit Ends: Thursday, March 5, 2026.
- Art Removal: Art must remain on exhibit through the run of the Exhibition. The date for art removal is Thursday, March 5, 2026, between 11 am and 4:00 PM at RAG (109 W 9th St., Lumberton), or by appointment.
Artists are encouraged to enter their pieces online at the website. Entry forms are available online from January 8 through January 13, 2026, the date on which the physical artworks must be delivered to the Robeson Art Guild House, 109 W. 9th Street, Lumberton, NC 28359.
Fees: RAG members $10 per piece; Non-member $15 per piece; all sales require a 20% commission to the Guild. Fees are subject to change at any time, without notice, at the sole discretion of the Robeson Art Guild.
SUBMISSION & REQUIREMENTS: Artists may submit up to three (3) entries for the New Year Celebration 2026 Exhibition.
- Artists must be members in good standing to enter. Artists may join and pay membership fees online by clicking this link.
- Artists are encouraged to enter their pieces online on the Robeson Art Guild website. Entry forms are available online now. The artworks must be delivered to the Robeson Art Guild House, 109 W. 9th Street, Lumberton, NC 28359, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
Click here to enter online. - Eligibility for and award of any special award(s) are at the sole discretion of the Robeson Art Guild. Examples include, but are not limited to People’s Choice, special subject, and purchase awards.
- Artists are encouraged to provide an artist statement for each piece.
- Work may not weigh more than 40 lbs. nor be more than 5 feet in any direction.
- Each 2-dimensional work must have secure hanging devices to hang safely.
- Each 3-dimensional work must have a safe display device provided by the artist.
- Entries must be original, created within the past 2 years, and not previously entered into a Robeson Art Guild juried exhibition.
- All media, including fiber art, photography, photo montage and collage, are welcome.
- ART REMOVAL: Please note that all art must be removed when the exhibition closes. If you are unable to pick up your artwork during the scheduled time, contact us to make alternate arrangements. Artwork which is not picked up and for which no alternate arrangement has have been made may be subject to additional fees and/or become the property of the Robeson Art Guild, Inc.
LIABILITY: All reasonable care will be given in the handling and display of the art accepted for exhibition and/or sale. The Robeson Art Guild, staff, sponsors, and/or volunteers assume no responsibility for loss of or damage to artwork.
RIGHTS & CONDITIONS: All art submissions are to be made at the Robeson Art Guild House at 109 West 9th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358, unless otherwise directed. The Robeson Art Guild at its sole discretion will select and transport pieces selected for display/exhibition at other location(s), if any. By entry of the artwork in an exhibition or for other display the artist grants the Robeson Art Guild permission to transport pieces selected for display/exhibition at other location(s), if any. The artist grants the Robeson Art Guild permission to transport and display any art and to photograph and reproduce any art for publicity and educational purposes. The Robeson Art Guild reserves the right to refuse, remove or reject any art, for any reason.
