How about a couple of hours of Creativity with Clay??!!
We all are kids at heart and still love to play and make a mess with dirt, so let’s make it legal. This is a 2-day class, offered at the Guild House.

On Day 1, you will plan and create your art piece, then Jim will fire the pieces and have them ready for you to glaze on Day 2. After glazing Jim will fire the art pieces and have them ready for you to pick up on February 27 at the Guild House during regular hours, 11 am to 4:00 pm.
|
The fee is $50 per student, all supplies are provided for 1 project per student. Your choice of project: a slab pottery bowl, such as a berry bowl, fruit bowl, or salad bowl; or a woven creation, such as a tray, bowl, or basket.
|
This class is suitable for adults and mature young adults only.

Informal Painting Group
Meets Wednesdays, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. There is no charge, and you don't need a reservation, just bring a project you want to work on, art supplies you want to share, or just to watch and talk about a video. So far, we meet on Wednesdays, but if another time or day works better, let's see what can be arranged. By the way, any ideas for a name?!

Art Supplies Swap/Share
Several members have brought in art supplies, books, magazines, whatever they don't need, to share with other members who may want to try something new. It's a good way to explore, perhaps on a Wednesday when you are taking time for yourself at the painting group.

Monthly Volunteer Lunch and Share
Volunteers need a place and time to share ideas and get answers to questions, so we set aside the last Thursday of each month to meet over lunch - that's Thursday, January 30 for the first one of 2025! It's Bring-our-Own-Lunch, but we do have coffee, tea, water, and hot chocolate available, and sometimes dessert appears. Join us when you can, and if you can't, email carole.blaney@robesonartguild.org with your questions and suggestions and we'll share them with the other volunteers and get you answers. That's also a good way to let us know if you want to help on any specific project.

Upcoming Quarterly Meetings
Mark your calendars now and plan to attend the upcoming Quarterly Members Meetings in 2025. These regular meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Thursday of the ending month each quarter: March 20, June 19, September 18, and December 18, 2025. They are a great way to learn what is happening at the Art Guild, what is planned, and to share your ideas!
