2026 Robeson Art Guild Planning Calendar

2026 Robeson Art Guild Calendar
Hard to believe, but 2026 marks our fifth full year of activities here at the Guild House in Lumberton, NC! Last year we launched our first planning calendar at the behest of local artists and supporters, so we could all know what was coming up, plan creative projects, and make changes where desirable. That worked well enough that we're doing it again! Click the link below to see what's coming up from exhibitions, to Special Awards, Member Events, and Key Community Events to consider!

The Holiday Member's Choice Exhibition and the Holiday Marketplace are both open now, slated to run through December 18th - culminating with the last Quarterly Members Meeting and special recognitions for 2025. Join us from 2pm to 4 pm for a lovely Holiday gathering!
The exhibition Themes for 2026 may change as we get feedback from members on what they want to explore during the year, but the Special Awards introduced in 2025 will be offered again in 2026:
  • Remembrance Poppy Award to honor our veterans
  • Community Scenes Award to capture memories of Robeson County life
The timeline is set, but as usual, sometimes things need to shift a bit as new information comes to light. Let us know if you see an opportunity we missed - or if we made a mistake!

As always, next year you are welcome to join us at the monthly Volunteer Lunch & Share to talk about what's happening and at quarterly Members Meetings to share your thoughts on Art Guild activities and plans. And don't forget the Annual Members Appreciation Dinner in October!

It's Looking a Lot Like Christmas at the Guild House!!

Holiday Wreath on the Front Door of the Robeson Art Guild
The tree is up, the Holiday Members Choice Exhibition is hung and Judge Sandy Stratil has made her award selections and the Marketplace tables are nearly ready to share with you! Join us tomorrow, December 4th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm for the Opening Reception! We're so excited that this marks our Second Annual Members Marketplace - don't miss seeing what the local artists have ready for you this year.

So far, the weather is forecast to be dry Thursday evening, and not too cold - but who really cares anyway once you step inside a Holiday wonderland. Mark Andersen will be filling the air with music on the wonderful 1918 parlor grand piano, and our House Elves have been hard at work getting ready - it's all shaping up beautifully! So plan on lovely music, good food, and plenty of new, fun, and beautiful artwork to enjoy!
Both Judge Stratil's Holiday Exhibition Awards AND the People's choice Award for the Fall into Winter exhibition that closed recently will be presented at the opening. Did your Favorite win? Stop in and find out - I'm not telling! And whilst here, don't forget to vote for your favorites for the Holidays - that's both your favorite entry in the Holiday Exhibition AND your favorite Marketplace display. The artists will be replenishing their wares, too, through the season, so plan on more than one visit (and more than one chance to vote)! We'll look forward to seeing you!
