Tomorrow is Labor Day and many of you are wrapping up summer holidays, getting ready for kids going back to school ... or maybe just winding down and enjoying the advent of cooler weather. Or planning something special for the Fall Into Winter opening, who knows?! Whatever you are doing, nobody is in the mood for the Monday Painting/Art Group, so we are skipping it tomorrow.

We'll meet next on Monday, September 8th, from 12:30 to 2:30 pm. By all means bring your own project if you want to as usual, but if you want to try something new & different, join me as I work through some creative exercises I've learned thru Lousie Fletcher's free 10-day Creative Reset class. It's not another "how to paint" type class, it is more about how to free up your own creativity, explore what you like to do and try some unconventional approaches to develop or discover your own style. We can talk more on the 8th - I'll bring some materials so you can take a stab if so inclined.

She has some interesting episodes; I liked Episode 273 - about when you've got paintings stacking up, and you're either excited about what you're working on, or wondering where to go next.

Art Group: Meets Mondays from 12:30 - 2:30 pm
Art Supplies Swap/Share Box
The Swap Box continues to be popular, with members contributing and taking out a range of fun... stuff. From art supplies to try, a nice table easel, books, magazines, whatever who may catch their attention or no longer fit their needs. It's a good way to explore. There is no charge, just remember, if you take something, please bring something in for others - and if you don't need or want what you take, well, just bring it back! The box is in the classroom, next to the art group supplies.

Upcoming Quarterly Meetings!
Mark your calendars now and plan to attend the upcoming Quarterly Members Meetings in 2025. These regular meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Thursday of the ending month each quarter: September 18, and December 18, 2025. They are a great way to learn what is happening at the Art Guild, what is planned, and to share your ideas!
