CALL FOR ENTRIES: The Robeson Art Guild (RAG) is accepting entries for the Artist's Choice 2025 Exhibition on Tuesday May 13 and May 15 at RAG (109 W 9th St., Lumberton), from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day. Click here to enter online.

The theme for Artist's Choice 2025 is creativity, and how each individual artist chooses to express and share their work with us. In addition to the normal awards and recognition by the public for their favorite, this year there will also be a special prize offered for the best entry honoring National Poppy Day! Celebrated the Friday before Memorial Day, the timing is perfect for our Artist's Choice Exhibition. Works eligible for the new Remembrance Poppy award must feature the red poppy, the internationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I to honor those who served and died for our country in all wars.

The Exhibition opens Thursday, May 22, with a reception and recognition of the winners, including the new Remembrance Poppy Award and the People's Choice Award.

The Artist's Choice 2025 Exhibition runs through July 10, 2025.
|
Join us and celebrate the creativity of our local artist's and their lovely Remembrance Poppy works, each a salute to the sacrifices of all our veterans.

Art Supplies Swap/Share Box
The Swap Box continues to be popular, with members contributing and taking out a range of fun... stuff. From art supplies to try, a nice table easel, books, magazines, whatever who may catch their attention or no longer fit their needs. It's a good way to explore. There is no charge, just remember, if you take something, please bring something in for others - and if you don't need or want what you take, well, just bring it back! The box is in the classroom, next to the art group supplies.

Upcoming Quarterly Meetings!
Mark your calendars now and plan to attend the upcoming Quarterly Members Meetings in 2025. These regular meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Thursday of the ending month each quarter: March 20, June 19, September 18, and December 18, 2025. They are a great way to learn what is happening at the Art Guild, what is planned, and to share your ideas!
