Call for Entries: The Robeson Art Guild (RAG) is accepting entries for Autumn Color Play, our fifth exhibition of 2023, on September 12th at RAG (109 W 9th St., Lumberton), from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Color, specifically the gorgeous colors of Fall, is the theme of the Autumn Color Play which opens September 14th with a reception and announcement of awards at 6:00 pm at the Guild House. The Exhibition runs thru November 9th, 2023.
Our artists celebrate the wonderful colors of nature, as the subject of their 2- and 3-dimensional work for this competition. This is bound to be a beautiful, vibrant expression of life here in the Carolinas and beyond that are close to the hearts of our talented artists!
Artists are encouraged to enter their pieces online at the website. Entry forms for the Autumn Color Play Exhibition will be available about 2 weeks prior to the Submission date of September 12, when the physical artworks must be dropped off at the Robeson Art Guild House, 109 W. 9th Street, Lumberton, NC 28359.

Important Dates:
- Submissions Due: Tuesday, September 12, 2023. Entries are due and received at RAG (109 W 9th St., Lumberton), from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Hanging Exhibits: Wednesday, September 13, 2023.
- Opening Reception: Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
- Exhibit Ends: Thursday, November 9, 2023
- Art Removal: Art must remain on exhibit through the run of the Exhibition. The date for art removal is Thursday, November 9 between 11 am and 4:00 PM at RAG (109 W 9th St., Lumberton), or by appointment.

- First Place: $200
- Second Place $150
- Third Place $50
- Honorable Mention Ribbons
Fees: RAG members, $10 per piece; Non-members, $15 per piece; all sales will require a 20% commission to the Guild.
Submission Requirements:
- Artists may submit up to three (3) entries for the Autumn Color Play Exhibition.
- Artists are encouraged to enter their pieces online at the website. Entry forms will be available online prior to the submission date, September 12, when the physical artworks must be dropped off at the Robeson Art Guild House, 109 W. 9th Street, Lumberton, NC 28359
- Artists’ photographs of their works are encouraged. Photographs may be uploaded with an online entry or submitted by email. Please provide appropriate credit statements for each photograph.
- Artists are encouraged to provide an artist statement for each piece.
- Work may not weigh more than 40 lbs. nor be more than 5 feet in any direction.
- Each 2-dimensional work must have secure hanging devices to hang safely.
- Each 3-dimensional work must have a safe display device provided by the artist.
- Entries must be original, created within the past 2 years, and cannot have been exhibited at RAG previously.
- All media, including photography, photo montage and collage, are welcome.
Art Removal
Art must remain on exhibit through the run of the exhibition. The date for Autumn Color Play art removal is Thursday, November 9 between 11 am and 4:00 PM at RAG (109 W 9th St., Lumberton), or by appointment.
Please note that all art must be removed when the exhibition closes. If you are unable to pick up your artwork during the scheduled time, contact us to make alternate arrangements. Artwork which is not picked up may be subject to additional fees and/or forfeiture, becoming the property of the Robeson Art Guild.
