We have several decisions to make soon and could use your help. This Thursday, August 28, is the next Volunteer Lunch & Share – seems like a good time to get your feedback! Bring your lunch and join us at the Guild House around noon. On the agenda:
- Select photos for the 2026 Calendar: We’ve got a lot of photos, let take a look! We also want to include some bits about the schedule and projects for our anniversary year!
- Update on the Congressional Art Competition (9th-12th graders): We know the 2025 winners for both the 7th and 8th Districts, and the single entrant from Robeson County. She didn’t win, but let’s see what we can do to congratulate these young artists who were brave enough to try – and take a look at their artwork! It’s great! The deadline for the 2026 competition is expected to be late March, so we have an opportunity to encourage more of our local young people to participate. Are you interested in helping, or at least helping to plan and get the word out?
- Next upcoming special award to announce: Scenes of Our Communities (or something like that!)
