CALL FOR ENTRIES: The Robeson Art Guild (RAG) is accepting entries for the Spring Festival 2026 Exhibition on Tuesday, March 10th, at RAG (109 W 9th St., Lumberton), from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day. Check below for the details on the exhibition and for a new opportunity being launched with this Call.
The theme for Spring Festival 2026 is Spring, that beautiful time of year here in North Carolina, full of sunshine, flowers, and, well, changeable weather. All in all, 2026 is shaping up to be even more eventful than usual! If you have something you did for recent local events such as the Rumba on the Lumber that you would like to share, bring it in! We are looking forward to seeing how each artist interprets the season and how you plan to express your own take on our beautiful state.
Special Announcement!
Your Spring Festival entries will be considered for inclusion in one of the major new endeavors for the Art Guild this year: launching small, select exhibits around Robeson County so those outside the Lumberton area can share in the rich local art you create. The first event will be local, to give us an opportunity to work out any kinks – and help ensure that those further afield go as smoothly as possible.
The first external exhibition will be as part of Oeuvre D’Art en Exposition: An Afternoon of Art and Music planned for Saturday, May 16th, at Trinity Episcopal Church. The wonderful musician and composer Mark Andersen is premiering a new suite for piano at the event, so we can enjoy the interplay of truly original local art and music, followed by refreshments in the Parish Hall. We will be publishing more information soon but put the date on your calendars now – that’s Saturday, May 16, from 1 pm to 4 pm.
The Spring Festival 2026 Exhibition awards will be presented at the Opening Reception on Thursday, March 19th.
The Spring Festival Exhibition runs through May 7, 2026.

Important Dates:
- Online Entries Open: Tuesday, March 3rd. Click here to enter online.
- Submissions Due (Intake): Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Entries are due and received at RAG (109 W 9th St., Lumberton), between 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, or by appointment.
- Opening Reception: Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
- Exhibit Ends: Thursday, May 7, 2026.
- Art Removal: Art must remain on exhibit through the run of the Exhibition. The date for art removal is Thursday, May 7, 2026, between 11 am and 4:00 PM at RAG (109 W 9th St., Lumberton), or by appointment.
Artists are encouraged to enter their pieces online at the website. Entry forms are available online from March 1st through March 10th, 2026, the date on which the physical artworks must be delivered to the Robeson Art Guild House, 109 W. 9th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358.
Fees: RAG members $10 per piece; Non-member $15 per piece; all sales require a 20% commission to the Guild. Fees are subject to change at any time, without notice, at the sole discretion of the Robeson Art Guild.
SUBMISSION & REQUIREMENTS: Artists may submit up to three (3) entries for the Spring Festival 2026 Exhibition.
- Artists must be members in good standing to enter. Artists may join and pay membership fees online by clicking this link.
- Artists are encouraged to enter their pieces online on the Robeson Art Guild website. Entry forms are available online from March 3 to March 10, the final date by which the physical artworks must be delivered to the Robeson Art Guild House, 109 W. 9th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358.
Click here to enter online. - Eligibility for and award of any special award(s) are at the sole discretion of the Robeson Art Guild. Examples include, but are not limited to People’s Choice, special subject, and purchase awards.
- Artists’ photographs of their works are encouraged. Photographs may be uploaded with an online entry or submitted by email. Please provide appropriate credit statements for each photograph.
- Artists are encouraged to provide an artist statement for each piece.
- Work may not weigh more than 40 lbs. nor be more than 5 feet in any direction.
- Each 2-dimensional work must have secure hanging devices to hang safely.
- Each 3-dimensional work must have a safe display device provided by the artist.
- Entries must be original, created within the past 2 years, and not previously entered into a Robeson Art Guild juried exhibition.
- All media, including fiber art, photography, photo montage and collage, are welcome.
ART REMOVAL: Please note that all art must be removed when the exhibition closes. If you are unable to pick up your artwork during the scheduled time, contact us to make alternate arrangements. Artwork which is not picked up and for which no alternate arrangement has been made may be subject to additional fees and/or become the property of the Robeson Art Guild, Inc. and may be disposed of at the sole discretion of the Robeson Art Guild.
LIABILITY: All reasonable care will be given in the handling and display of the art accepted for exhibition and/or sale. The Robeson Art Guild, staff, sponsors, and/or volunteers assume no responsibility for loss of or damage to artwork.
RIGHTS & CONDITIONS: All art submissions are to be made at the Robeson Art Guild House at 109 West 9th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358, unless otherwise directed. The Robeson Art Guild at its sole discretion will select and transport pieces selected for display/exhibition at other Gallery location(s), if any. The artist grants the Robeson Art Guild permission to transport pieces selected for display/exhibition at other Gallery location(s), if any. The artist grants the Robeson Art Guild permission to transport and display any art and to photograph and reproduce any art for publicity and educational purposes. The Robeson Art Guild reserves the right to refuse, remove or reject any art, for any reason.
