Entries are coming in online for the Lumberton Juried RAG/CAM Show set to open Saturday, January 20th at the Osterneck Auditorium! There have been some questions and concerns received about the process, We hope these comments help! If you have any more, feel free to leave a comment and we willget back to you.
- Drop-off/Delivery Date: Sorry about any confusion about the date on which to deliver your artwork to the Osterneck. The building is going to be closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, so the Drop-off/Delivery date is Tuesday, January 16 between 11 am and 4 pm. If that won’t work for you, please email us at info@robesonartguild.org and we will be happy to work with you.
- Requirements and Number of Entries: Artists may register up to 4 pieces of original work. There are no specific limitations as to when the pieces were created, if/when/where they may have been exhibited before, nor medium or reasonable size. If the pieces are not for sale, mark them appropriately in the online entry form. If you do not enter online, please clearly note the price if for sale, mark it as not for sale if not, and provide valuations in either case. Valuation is required for insurance purposes.
- Photographs: Files can be uploaded with your online registration if you have them, one picture per entered piece. Although recommended, you are not required to provide pictures. Please do try to take your own pictures to ensure they best show your work as you want it to be represented. If you cannot upload your files, please email them to Carole Blaney at carole.blaney@robesonartguild.org or bring them in when you drop off your artwork.
- Artist Statement: You are encouraged to enter an Artist Statement with your entry. If you enter online and want to use the same artist statement for all your entries, or have none at all, just enter a short instruction in that field to let us know. If you prefer, you can email your artist statement to Carole Blaney at carole.blaney@robesonartguild.org or bring them in when you drop off your artwork.
Artists may register up to 4 pieces of the original work, and most seem to be doing just that. If you need help getting your pieces registered, don’t forget you can get help at the Robeson Art Guild. We are open Tuesday and Thursday from 11 am to 4 pm and on site at the Osterneck on Tuesday, January 16 when you bring in your artwork. We will be happy to help you get them registered.
Thank you! We are so looking forward to seeing all your work!
