Join us to learn how to create meaningful, artistic collages for journals, scrapbooks, or personal projects
This is a 2-session class, with 4-hours of instruction over the 2 2-hour classes. You will learn how to create meaningful, artistic collages for journals, scrapbooks, or personal projects.
We will explore a variety of techniques, layering, combining text with images, and using mixed media. The class is for beginners and hobbyists looking to add creativity to everyday keepsakes.
What’s included in the price?
The class will use cardstock or watercolor paper, drawing pencils, ink pens (mixed sizes and colors), watercolors, collage papers (such as scrapbook paper, old book pages, and old sewing pattern papers), matt medium (such as Mod Podge Matt Decoupage), brushes and small water cups. Although basic materials will be available, students are encouraged to bring their own materials to create a very personal project, one truly their own!
Some aprons are available but are not guaranteed. Things can get messy! Students are encouraged to bring their own apron or old clothes and copies of any writings or stories and copies of old images for their own projects.
If you have questions, the odds are good that others do to – feel free to ask! Tea, coffee, and bottled water is available. Please arrive by about 15 minutes before the class starts, so we can start on time.
This class is suitable for adults and mature young adults only.
Cancellation policy
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the class.
