Solo Exhibition Proposal Entry Form
The Robeson Art Guild hosts special exhibitions of selected artists at the Guild House in Lumberton, North Carolina throughout the year. This is an Open Call for Proposals for new Solo Exhibitions.

- Suggested title of the exhibition, if any
- Artist(s) name(s), contact information, bio and/or resume
- Representative and/or other contact information, if any
- Brief overview of the proposed exhibition
- Artist statement, if any
- Preliminary inventory of artworks that may be included. We understand that the final inventory may differ as your proposal is refined. Note: Do not submit original works until arrangements have been agreed upon for receipt of the items.
- Photographs of samples of the artist’s work, including some of pieces listed in the preliminary inventory, will help us better understand your proposal.
- Proposed layout: Do you have a desired layout and/or any special requirements for displaying your artwork? Are there any interactive elements to be considered?
- Target audience: Will your exhibition be of interest to any special groups? Do you have a special interest or goal in mind?
- Technical requirements, such as overall space needed, lighting systems, electrical needs, etc.
- Proposed timeline, to include delivery method and timeline; installation timeline prior to opening; proposed duration of the exhibition; and take down and return after closing.

Responsibilities of the Parties for Accepted Proposals
If chosen, the Proposal Party/Artist(s) is responsible for:
- Delivery and removal of artwork to and from the gallery within the timeframe and constraints agreed to in the accepted proposal.
- Preparation of artwork for display including framing and secure wired gallery hanging mechanisms in compliance with Robeson Art Guild requirements, any special display or installation needs, such as easels, pedestals, etc.
- Pricing of artwork: artwork must be for sale unless agreed otherwise in the accepted proposal. Artwork prices are set by the Proposal Party/Artist(s); the Robeson Art Guild’s commission on sales is 20% for Robeson Art Guild Members and 40% for non-members.
- Plans for and costs of receptions are the responsibility of the Proposal Party/Artist(s). The catering for Solo Exhibitions may be provided by family and friends or by a hired caterer. The Robeson Art Guild is happy to help arrange access to the facilities and provide limited help with the reception as needed. However, all expenses related to catering, cleanup, and any damage are the responsibility of the Proposal Party/Artist(s).
- Invitations and/or marketing materials are the responsibility of the Proposal Party/Artist(s) and must include the official logo and contact information of the Robeson Art Guild. Robeson Art Guild retains the right to approve printed marketing materials and will provide help as needed and agreed.
The Robeson Art Guild will provide:
- Art exhibit space within our secure galleries.
- Hanging and display of artwork, including some pedestals (all white, various sizes).
- A Solo Exhibition on the online auction site as agreed.
- Help with the reception as needed, including stock cups, glasses, plates, napkins, serving trays, punch bowl, some tablecloths, and assistance with clean-up.
- Robeson Art Guild retains the right to include the approved exhibition in marketing materials, online venues including calendar(s), and press releases. Support will be given for exhibition invitations and marketing materials as agreed.
