The Robeson Art Guild (RAG) can only run successfully with the active support of our members and volunteers. Volunteers are the cornerstone of RAG. Interested in any of these opportunities?

You Are Invited!
Join us Thursday, October 31st, at the Guild House for the monthly Volunteer Lunch & Share BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch!) from 12 noon to 1:00 pm. Open for active volunteers and really anyone interested in becoming more involved with the Robeson Art Guild! We get together, talk and plan for upcoming events, things happening or likely to affect members, what happened recently that maybe could be handled better.
What is coming up soon, what do we, the Guild Members, need to plan for the future? Join us with your ideas! Find your voice – Don’t miss out on helping influence the future of the Art Guild! We started this monthly lunch gathering so active volunteers can join in as they can, in person, or simply by sending your thoughts in for discussion and follow-up. If you can’t come but would like to join us remotely, contact us at info@robesonartguild.org to arrange for remote access. See you soon!
Docent
Help serve as a guide to the Guild House, the exhibitions, and events current and to come! This position is evolving with the help of the current and past docents. Docents are the face of the Art Guild, the first to meet and greet visitors to the Guild House and have an inside view of planned programs and events. Docents have an opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of art as well as local history. Contact us if you’d like to discuss this opportunity. Please note that docent work can be individualized to fit your interests and skills. Artist members are encouraged to devote some time to the docent program, interacting with visitors and sharing their talents with demos or classes. We are currently developing a Junior Docent program for local youth. Contact us with your interest and ideas – all ages!
Exhibition Assistance
RAG needs and welcomes volunteers to help with exhibition transitions, opening receptions, and private showings. Exhibition assistance includes a wide range of roles, from helping artists register their entries, physically handling and arranging artwork, to hanging signs or greeting people at an exhibition reception. This is a great opportunity to work intimately with local art and meet others in the Robeson County art scene.
Special Events and Classes
There are many different events to get involved with at RAG, from exhibition opening receptions, featured artist exhibits, art classes for adults or children, holidays at RAG, special tours, even private demos or rentals or solo artist shows. We need assistance in both planning and executing all these events. Roles include event set up/break down, decorating, serving, greeting, etc. Contact us with interests – all ages!
Programs
RAG hosts programming for children and adults, programming that we are eager to expand to fit the needs and desires of our communities! Would you like to help? Roles include event planning, set up/break down, decorating, cashiering/registration, crafting, greeting, etc. Contact us with interest – all ages!
Gardening
The grounds of the Guild House are special! Are you interested in helping us keep this historic property beautiful, and ever more useful? Contact us at info@robesonartguild.org for more information. We are always interested in hearing new ideas and helping fulfil creative urges from the outside in!
