Every Fall the Arts Council Fayetteville-Cumberland County awards Artist Support Grants for projects planned for the upcoming year. Artists operating or residing in Cumberland, Hoke, Robeson, Sampson, and Scotland Counties are eligible and may be awarded grants ranging from $500 to $2,000 each. The Artist Support Grant is intended to support a broad range of talented artists in the genres of visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, music composition, choreography, and interdisciplinary arts.
- Artists operating or residing in Cumberland, Hoke, Robeson, Sampson, and Scotland Counties may be awarded.
- Grant requests range from $500 – $2,000.
- Grant will fund the artistic and professional development of emerging and established artists to enhance the artists’ skills and abilities to create work, improve business operations in their discipline, and/or build their capacity to bring their work to new audiences.
- All applications MUST be entered through the Online Application Portal.

The Artist Support Grant is funded through a partnership with the North Carolina Arts Council.
The Arts Council of Fayetteville | Cumberland County manages the grant initiative on behalf of the Robeson County Arts Council, the Sampson County Arts Council, and the Scotland County Arts Council/Storytelling Center of the Southeast.
The Project Support Grant program is supported by the National Endowment for the Arts as part of the American Rescue Plan (ARP) grant program. The ARP grant program aims to support communities by providing grants to eligible recipients to save jobs and to fund operations and facilities, health and safety supplies, and marketing and promotional efforts to encourage attendance and participation.
