In addition to the normal artist awards and the opportunity for everyone to vote for their personal favorites, this exhibition features our second annual Remembrance Poppy Award! The Remembrance Poppy is the emblem of National Poppy Day, recognized on the Friday prior to Memorial Day in honor of all the men and women who served and died for their country in all wars. This year the special award will be presented by Allyson Rosser, North Carolina Chapter Leader and National Recruiter for Native American Women Warriors. Join us at the Opening Reception, Thursday, May 21st!
The theme for Artist’s Choice 2026 is creativity, and how each individual artist chooses to express and share their work with us. Works eligible for the new Remembrance Poppy award feature the red poppy, the internationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn since World War I to honor those who served and died for their country in all wars.
