Fall Into Winter Exhibition Opening Reception 6:30 pm-8 pm!
Hurrican Helene stopped by briefly, but her timing was impeccable! In the interest of not making things worse, we delayed the opening reception. Well, she has been and gone now, and the Opening Reception is reset for Thursday, October 10th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm! Join us and see for yourself the wonderful artwork the artists conjured up for the occasion.
The theme of the Fall Into Winter is the change of seasons, as summer gives way to autumn and winter is hovering, just out of sight, perhaps, but ever more clearly felt in shorter days and cooling nights. This time, the entries include seasonal fabric art and paintings in different mediums. Some are already sold, but there are several lovely paintings and a Southwestern fabric piece available and still for sale! With the Holidays coming, stop by and see if you may have the perfect home for one!
The Juror for the exhibition was Paul Van Zandt, Professor Emeritus, Art Department, UNC Pembroke. He selected “The Doing” by Nila Chamberlain for his First Prize award, “Stoney Creek Bridge” by Charlotte Thompson for the Second Prize, and “Cooling” by Jeffery Geller for the Third Prize. He also awarded four Honorable Mentions.
Join us at Opening Reception and help congratulate the winners! Champ Saint-Amand will be back to fill the air with music!
