CALL FOR ENTRIES: The Robeson Art Guild is accepting delivery of entries for the Fall Into Winter 2026 Exhibition / Community Scenes Award on Tuesday September 15 at Robeson Art Guild (109 W 9th St., Lumberton), from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day. Online entries open April 21st: Click here to enter online.
In addition to the normal artist awards and the opportunity for everyone to vote for their personal favorites, this exhibition features our second annual Community Scenes Award! While the overall theme of the Fall Into Winter exhibition is the change of seasons as summer gives way to autumn and winter is hovering, this time of year is also the time for home-comings and other special events and happenings in our local communities. From harvests and farmers markets to school reopening, powwows, family gatherings, and seasonal celebrations – and some large family reunions!
We decided to offer an award for that one special artwork that captures the feeling of our community: the Community Scenes Award. You, the artist, decides whether to capture an iconic solitary joy such as the Outer Banks horse scene last year by Lu Lewis, or perhaps an everyday scene at a beauty salon, car dealership, or a heart-warming family celebration ala Norman Rockwell. Who knows, you may take home the second annual Community Scenes Award!
The Exhibition opens September 24th with a reception at the Guild House with recognition of the winners, including the new Community Scenes Award and the People’s Choice Award. Join us at 6:30 pm for a lovely Fall evening opening. The Exhibition runs through November 12, 2026. Join us for the Opening Reception and celebrate the creativity of our local artist’s and their special Community Scenes works reflecting a view unique to the people and places that form their personal communities.

Champ Saint-Amand is set to provide the music for the opening reception!
