Join Jill Vickers and explore new (and old!) ways to turn your cherished memories into art pieces that can be passed down through generations!
This is a 2-session class, with 4-hours of instruction over the 2 2-hour classes. You will work with hand-drawn illustrations, watercolor, and collage, completing a family-themed art piece to take home, such as a decorative memory frame or family tree illustration. The first class meets Tuesday, March 4th at 4:00 pm and the second session meets on Saturday, March 8th at 2:00 pm. Both sessions will be at the Robeson Art Guild House, 109 W 9th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358.
In class you will explore using a wide range of media, from photographs to scrapbook paper, old book pages, and old sewing pattern papers. Look through your personal treasures and bring photocopies of 3 special photos, photos of ancestors, or a significant document you would like to use in your art piece. Please be sure to only bring photocopies, rather than the originals.
