Open House and First Membership Meeting of 2023!
Join Us Thursday, February 9th for the Open House and First Membership Meeting of 2023! Come by and meet Guild members. The meeting starts at 6:00 pm with a social gathering and book-signing by author Kammeron Polverari, a current member.
Polverari will have copies of her debut novel, From the Fires Scattered There. The novel is based on the true story of the Tamiami Champion train wreck that claimed seventy-four lives in the worst train wreck in Robeson County history. Polverari has created a work of historical fiction that honors the survivors and the humanity of the community that came together to help the victims.
Be sure to visit the current exhibit, Tongue in Cheek, if you you haven’t had a chance to yet! The artists have created their new works around a culinary theme.
Enjoy refreshments from The Wing Company.
Following the social gathering the meeting will start at 6:30 pm, with discussion of Guild plans for the coming year, including information on upcoming exhibitions, prominent visiting artists, more culinary treats planned, and opportunities for volunteers and sponsors to participate. Give some thought to what you would like to see at the Guild and how you might like to participate! Suggestions are welcome!
