My, how time does fly! Don’t forget to drop off your entries for the Artist’s Choice 2025 Exhibition on Tuesday May 13 at RAG (109 W 9th St., Lumberton), between 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. In addition to the normal artist awards and the opportunity for everyone to vote for their personal favorites, this year there is a special prize for the best entry featuring the Remembrance Poppy, the emblem of National Poppy Day, when Americans honor all those who served and died for our country in all wars. This special award will be presented by Raymond Hunt, District Commander of Robeson and Scotland Counties for the American Legion. Join us at the Opening Reception, Thursday, May 22nd, at 6:30 pm!
The theme for Artist’s Choice 2025 is creativity, and how each individual artist chooses to express and share their work with us. Works eligible for the new Remembrance Poppy award feature the red poppy, the internationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I to honor those who served and died for our country in all wars.
