How does spending time creating something from a ball of clay, sound, something of your very own design? Jim Tripp, our Resident Potter, calls it “Playing in the Mud” and invites you to join him for this 4-session class. This is a rare opportunity to bring to life a piece of pottery uniquely your own, guided by a winning, seasoned local potter.

The classes meet once a week on Tuesday from 9:00 am to Noon, over 4 weeks: July 14, 21, 28, and August 4. In weeks 1 and 2 you will form your creation on the wheel or hand-build pieces, with drying completed for firing at the Guild House by the 3rd week. In week 4, Jim will work with you on the glazing process and glaze firing. Your new pieces will be completely finished and ready to pick up from the Guild to take home the following week on Tuesday, August 4th.

The per-student tuition is $125 for a non-member and $115 for members. The fee covers all materials, glazes, and firing costs for 1 to 2 items. All classes, drying, and firing are at the Robeson Guild House, 109 W. 9th Street in Lumberton.
